Bestselling publications in Canada for week ending July 6, 2022

There are two notable newcomers to the Canadian bestseller lists this week, a person fiction, the other non-fiction.

“The Apothecary’s Garden” is the third novel by Saskatoon- and Toronto-dependent novelist Jeanette Lynes. Set in Victorian-period Belleville, it is at once a romance and mystery about impoverished spinster Lavender Fitch and how her lifestyle is reworked with the arrival in town of glamorous medium Allegra Trout and Robert, her appealing but flawed assistant.

“Inside the Montreal Mafia: The Confessions of Andrew Scoppa” gives an insider’s revelations into the lifestyle and loss of life of Mafia godfather Vito Rizzuto. This is the 3rd collaboration by Québecor investigative reporters Félix Séguin and Eric Thibault. The guide was translated by Julia Jones.

The bestseller lists are compiled by Toronto Star Newspapers Minimal from information furnished by BookNet Canada’s countrywide profits tracking provider, BNC SalesData.
