Paul Geddes (BComm 1987) is one of the greatest hockey players to ever lace them up for the Dinos. He still holds the school single-season records for both points (69) and goals (32) after helping Calgary to a 23-4-0 record in the 1986-87 season. That goal total won him the Canada West scoring title and is still the fourth-best total in conference history. Geddes earned plenty of honours over his years, including the Canada West MVP in 1987 and, the Dinos Male Athlete of the Year the same season, and he was twice named the CIAU most sportsmanlike player. After graduating with 76 goals and 90 assists in his 82 games played, Geddes went on to enjoy a lengthy professional career in Europe and is now a founding member of the 3rd Assist Club, an alumni group supporting Dinos hockey.

After starting in the sport at an early age, Guterson came to the University of Calgary in 1981 and was an instant force, winning his first national championship as a rookie.
