uccession has swept the Emmy nominations board with 25 nods announced on Tuesday.

Melissa Fumero and JB Smoove, along with Television Academy Chairman and CEO Frank Scherma, introduced the nominees for the 74th Emmy Awards.

Ted Lasso and The White Lotus each been given 20 bids though Squid Video game attained 13 nods amongst the listing of honours.

There was also plenty of British talent recognised in the star-studded checklist.

British actor Colin Firth has gained an Emmy nomination for outstanding direct actor in a constrained or anthology sequence or motion picture for his job in HBO’s The Staircase.

The actor faces intense levels of competition from Andrew Garfield and Himesh Patel, as effectively as Michael Keaton and Sebastian Stan, who were being also named in the category.

Pam And Tommy’s top girl Lily James been given a nod in the category for leading actress in a confined or anthology sequence or film.

Meanwhile, British star Jodie Comer has been nominated for an Emmy award for exceptional actress in a drama series for her portrayal of the psychotic Villanelle in BBC sequence Killing Eve.

The actress goes head-to-head with her co-star Sandra Oh and Euphoria star Zendaya.

Laura Linney, Reese Witherspoon and Melanie Lynskey are also nominated in the classification.
