“Better Call Saul” returns for the second half of its sixth and final season on July 11. This last batch of episodes includes six new installments, which will premiere weekly on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC and AMC Plus, leading to the series finale on August 15.
A spin-off of the wildly popular “Breaking Bad” series, “Better Call Saul” stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill, a former con artist who becomes a public defender. It’s set in the early 2000s and details the events that play out before “Breaking Bad.” Throughout the show’s six seasons, we see how Jimmy creates his Saul Goodman alter ego, a boisterous and egocentric persona he uses to defend members of New Mexico’s criminal underworld.

In addition to Odenkirk, the show features Jonathan Banks and Giancarlo Esposito, who also reprise their roles from “Breaking Bad.” Rhea Seehorn rounds out the cast as Kim Wexler.
Though “Better Call Saul” is a prequel of sorts, you don’t need to watch either series before enjoying the other — they’re excellent standalone shows. “Better Call Saul” is critically acclaimed, and currently holds a “98% Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
