Important Steps To Consider In Home Manicure

Home Manicure

Pretty nails are something almost all women consider it as a necessity. Having good nails is more than just filing and polishing your nails, as they require an impressive manicure. Considering at home gel manicure it’s not a short process, but a lengthy ritual, similar to how you care for your face. But it’s worth the time invested in the same. And who says you have to spend a fortune on nail professionals to have beautiful nails? You can do it from the convenience of your own home. Below mentioned are some of the steps for best at home manicure:

  1. Collect all the tools:

Gather all of the manicure tools you’ll need to give yourself the ideal manicure before you begin. The following are the items you will require:

  • Nail clipper
  • Nail polish remover
  • Nail buffer
  • Cuticle pusher and nipper
  • Cotton pads
  • Cuticle remover or cuticle cream
  • A base coat for the nails
  • Hand moisturizer
  • Your favorite nail polish
  • A clear top coat

Step 2:

To begin, remove any nail polish you may be wearing. To gently remove your old nail polish, use a non-acetone nail polish remover and cotton pads.

Nail polish removers containing acetone work considerably faster, but they can harm your nails.

However, it is preferable to use a non-acetone nail polish remover if you use a nail polish remover more than once a month.

Step 3:

Trim your nails with the nail clippers. It is advised not to cut them too short. After that, shape them with the nail file. Square-shaped nails with rounded edges or basic rounded nails are preferable if you want to keep it simple.

When filing your nails, use mild pressure and avoid dragging the file back and forth. Make sure they aren’t too short.

Simply smooth the lines and rough edges that the nail cutter has left behind. To smooth the tops of your nails, use a somewhat abrasive nail buffer.

Instead of waiting for your nails to dry between coats in front of an oscillating mini-fan , a gel polish treatment uses ultraviolet (UV) light to dry your nails quickly.

Step 4:

Your Nails Should Be Soaked

You’re definitely going to enjoy this step! Fill a large glass dish with warm water which should be large enough to hold your palms. Soak your hands with baby shampoo or a light cleaner for a few minutes (maximum 3 minutes).

Cuticles can be softened by soaking them. It removes dirt and dead skin cells. Clean the nails and the skin around them with a light nail brush to eliminate any dirt. Remember to scrape under the nails as well. Over-soaking your nails and hands can lead to harm.

Step 5:

Apply cuticle cream and prepare the cuticles

Wipe your hands and nails clean, then apply cuticle cream to your nails. Then, gently press the cuticles back with a cuticle pusher. If you use too much pressure, the cuticles will be pushed too far in and your nails will be damaged.

Once the cuticles are clear, wipe off the excess cream from your nails.

If you don’t want to use a cuticle cream, you can use a cuticle remover to clean out your cuticles.

Step 6:

Apply a hand moisturizer

Use a hand moisturizer to massage your hands. For intensive moisturization, use a rich, thick cream. Concentrate on your fingers and the region around your nails in particular. You can also soak your hands in warm water for 30 seconds before applying moisturizer if you want.

Step 7:

Prep for nail polish:

Remove the moisturizer from your nails. You can wipe it off simply. Now you can apply a thin base coat. It is suggested to use clear or transparent nail polish as your base coat. It is better to keep gel nail polish at home. After the application you can apply the clear one as the top coat.

Once your nail polish is dry you can apply the clear nail polish to give that gel look.
