James Caan — the legendary actor recognised for his roles in The Godfather, Brian’s Tune and Misery, amongst lots of other individuals — has died at 82. No result in of death has been revealed as of push time.
In a tweet despatched from Caan’s official account, the actor’s family members wrote:
It is with fantastic disappointment that we advise you of the passing of Jimmy on the night of July 6.
The relatives appreciates the outpouring of really like and heartfelt condolences and asks that you go on to respect their privateness for the duration of this difficult time.
Caan was born in the Bronx, NYC and began acting though researching at Hofstra College. He inevitably graduated from New York City’s Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, where by he researched less than renowned performing instructor Sanford Meisner.
Immediately after beginning his occupation in off-Broadway productions, he sooner or later graduated to Broadway performs just before making his credited film debut in 1964’s Girl in a Cage. He would go on to star in some of the most well-known influential films of the ’70s, namely 1972’s The Godfather, in which he performed Sonny Corleone.
Next his run of films in the ’70s, Caan appeared in dozens of movies during the ’80s, ’90s and 2000s, appearing in movies like 1990’s Misery and Dick Tracy, and 2003’s Dogville and Elf. Caan has appeared in 19 movies given that 2010, with his final film function staying 2021’s Queen Bees.
