Listeria outbreak tied to 22 hospitalizations, 1 loss of life

A Listeria outbreak has sickened 23 persons in the U.S., resulting in 22 hospitalizations and just one loss of life, the Facilities for Condition Manage and Avoidance (CDC) announced (opens in new tab) Thursday (June 30). 

These scenarios happened involving Jan. 24, 2021 and June 12, 2022, with 16 of the 23 instances happening this calendar year, the agency described (opens in new tab).
