Are you looking for a smart cardio machine to use in your home, but high Peloton prices give you reason to pause? The good news is there are several viable alternatives. If you’re on the hunt for interactive exercise equipment for your home gym, Peloton is the hottest name in fitness tech today. But Peloton prices can be a stopper. There are plenty of smart exercise bikes and other Peloton alternative fitness options priced right for home use, however, from interactive treadmills to rowers. Some of the alternates we found include one-year subscriptions to iFit or JRNY virtual home fitness workouts. Other machines are compatible with iFit, and you can buy a membership to the service separately. In addition, Echelon exercise machines also have exercise and mindfulness coaching, individual and on-demand group workouts, and camaraderie-boosting experiences available by subscription. Here are several excellent alternatives that cost less than Pelotons.

NordicTrack Commercial S22i Studio Cycle (2021 model) — $1,499, was $2,199

Woman working out with virtual class on an exercise bike.

While not much cheaper than the Peloton at its original list price, the 2021 model of the NordicTrack Commercial S22i Studio Cycle is probably the best option when it comes to comparable feature sets — they’re practically the same. The S22i has a screen that is all but the same size as the Peloton. Still, the capability for instructors to adjust your incline and resistance for you (you have to do it yourself with the Peloton) makes it a better option if you’re looking to stay more focused on your workouts. NordicTrack also includes a one-year membership to these workouts in the purchase price of the S22i, which is another advantage. At the current sale price, the S221 is an incredible bargain.
