While it primarily remains the same device, such as the IPX8 that allows you to use it around and in water, there are a few upgrades that you’ll certainly appreciate. That being said, be aware that this version of the Kindle listed is ad-supported, which means you get screensaver ads and ads at the bottom of your home screen. They aren’t too bad, and a one-time payment for the difference, roughly $20, will remove the ads and turn it into a normal Kindle Paperwhite.
For starters, one common issue that many people complained about with the 2018 version was the lack of warmer color adjustment, including things like low blue light filtering.
